How to describe solution sets
Equations sinx=a and cosx=a are easy to read on the unit circle: intersect with the horizontal line y=a (sine) or the vertical x=a (cosine).
If ∣a∣>1, there are no solutions. If ∣a∣≤1, use arcsin and arccos, then add periods.
The period of sin and cos is 2π
