Word order in Thai sentences

Thai is an analytic language: grammatical relations are shown by word position, not inflection. Word order is therefore one of the main tools for building sentences. This lesson gives a full overview of neutral SVO order and the main deviations: adverbials, negation, questions, adjectives, possession, numerals with classifiers, modal and auxiliary verbs, comparison, focus and inversion, serial verbs, attributive noun phrases, question particles, and discourse markers.
