.gitignore: ¿Qué debería quedar fuera?

No todos los archivos de la carpeta del proyecto pertenecen al historial de Git. Los registros temporales, las carpetas de dependencia (como node_modules o target) y las configuraciones del IDE inflan el repositorio y molestan a los compañeros de equipo. Para omitir dichos archivos automáticamente, utiliza un archivo especial: .gitignore.
