La propiedad distributiva de la multiplicación te permite multiplicar una suma por un número en partes:

(a+b)\times c=a\times c+b\times c

. Por ejemplo,

(5+3)\times 4=5\times 4+3\times 4=20+12=32

. Facilita el cálculo mental y ayuda en los problemas planteados.

(a+b)\times c=a\times c+b\times c

Simplifica los cálculos

Para una diferencia:

(a-b)\times c=a\times c-b\times c
