Thai does not inflect adjectives for comparison — no “-er/-est” suffixes. Instead separate marker words follow the adjective. The three core patterns — กว่า (comparative), ที่สุด (superlative), เท่า (equative) — cover most cases; they combine with negation, intensifiers, and the progressive ยิ่ง…ยิ่ง construction.
