Autocompact and strategies for very long sessions
Autocompact (and similar mechanisms) summarize or drop earlier turns to stay within limits. That is a feature—sessions can last hours—but it means assumptions buried in turn 3 may evaporate unless they were promoted to durable artifacts (CLAUDE.md, tickets, code comments).
