GitLab CI: YAML, runners, and artifacts
Pipeline is defined in `.gitlab-ci.yml` at the repo root. Jobs belong to stages; runners pick up jobs (shared, group, or project). Artifacts pass build outputs between jobs; cache speeds dependency installs. Variables and protected branches integrate secrets and environments.
