Ingress: HTTP and TLS into the cluster
Ingress is an API object describing HTTP(S) routing rules (host, path) to Services. An Ingress controller (NGINX, Traefik, cloud LB) must run in the cluster to implement those rules—it watches Ingress resources and configures data plane. TLS terminates at Ingress with cert-manager or manual Secrets.
