Video generation: temporal coherence and the state of the art
Generating a single image is hard. Generating a video is generating thousands of images that must be consistent with each other — the same face, the same background, the same physical constraints, frame after frame. This temporal coherence problem is what separates video generation from simple per-frame image generation, and it is why video models are the most compute-intensive generative systems built so far.
