Conflicts: When Git Needs Your Help
Git is very smart, but it cannot read your mind. If one developer changed line 10 on main and you changed the same line 10 on your branch, Git will stop when merging. It does not know which version is correct and will ask you to choose manually. That is a merge conflict.
