Java Native Interface (JNI)
JNI (Java Native Interface) is the original bridge between Java and native code written in C or C++. It lets Java call native functions and native code call back into Java. JNI has been available since Java 1.1 and is still widely used in libraries like OpenSSL bindings, GPU drivers, and platform-specific OS APIs.
