Inline Functions and Performance

Marking a function inline tells the compiler to copy its body at each call site instead of a normal function call. That removes overhead for higher-order functions that take lambdas — no extra object for the lambda in many cases. Use inline for small utilities; avoid bloating bytecode by inlining huge functions.
