Network Ports and Connections (netstat, ss)

ss (socket statistics) from iproute2 replaces much of netstat on modern systems. It lists listening and established sockets — TCP, UDP, UNIX domains. Showing process names usually requires sudo. netstat -tulpn remains familiar from older tutorials.
