Remote Server Access via SSH

SSH encrypts a remote shell or file copy session. The client authenticates the server host key on first connect (fingerprint prompt) and stores it in ~/.ssh/known_hosts. Prefer SSH keys over passwords: ssh-keygen, then ssh-copy-id to install your public key on the server.
