Background and Priority Jobs (&, fg, bg)

The shell can run commands in the foreground (blocking the prompt) or background (ampersand suffix). Ctrl+Z suspends a foreground job; fg brings it back, bg resumes it in the background. jobs lists job numbers for the current shell session — distinct from system-wide PIDs.
