Logarithmic equations

Logarithmic equations
A logarithmic equation is one where the unknown appears inside a logarithm or in an exponent of an expression like logaf(x)\log_a f(x). Domain: every expression under log\log must be strictly positive; bases >0>0, 1\neq1. After algebra always check each root in the original equation and the domain: raising to a power or merging logs may create extraneous roots.
Domain first, then algebra — fewer chances to accept a spurious solution
