Probability distribution. Law of large numbers

Probability row of a discrete variable
For a discrete random variable XX taking values x1,,xkx_1,\ldots,x_k with probabilities pi=P(X=xi)p_i=P(X=x_i), one requires: 0pi1,i=1kpi=1.0\le p_i\le 1,\qquad \sum_{i=1}^k p_i=1. The table (xi,pi)(x_i,p_i) is called the law of distribution of XX.
“Law” — not a law of nature, but a complete listing of probabilities of values
