Broken line. Polygon perimeter

What is a broken line and a perimeter?

A broken line (polygonal chain) is made of segments (links) joined at angles. Vertices are the points where links meet. A closed broken line forms a polygon. The perimeter is the sum of the lengths of all sides of the polygon (or all links of the chain).
A broken line is several segments joined at angles
Vertices are the points where each link starts or ends
A closed broken line = a polygon
Perimeter — P=a+b+c+P=a+b+c+\cdots (sum of all side lengths)
