Angle: vertex and sides
An angle is a figure formed by two rays that start from the same point (the vertex). The rays are called the sides of the angle. Common types: a right angle (90∘, like a corner of a notebook), an acute angle (less than 90∘, like partly closed scissors), an obtuse angle (greater than 90∘ but less than 180∘, like an opened book), and a straight angle (180∘ — both rays lie on one line, half of a full turn).
The vertex is the common endpoint of the two rays
A right angle is 90∘ (corner of a square)
An acute angle is less than 90∘
An obtuse angle is between 90∘ and 180∘
A straight angle is 180∘
