Commutative property of multiplication
In multiplication, as in addition, you can change the order of the factors. The product stays the same. This is called the commutative property of multiplication. For example: 3×4=12 and 4×3=12. It is handy when you prefer to think of the larger number first — the answer does not change.
a×b=b×a
Changing the order of the factors does not change the product
Example: 6×3=3×6=18
