Comparison of natural numbers

Of two natural numbers, the larger one matches the greater amount when you count. On a coordinate ray, a number farther to the right is greater; farther left is smaller. For written numerals, compare places from left to right: first the highest place; if equal, move to the next. If the numbers have different numbers of digits (no leading zeros), the one with the longer form is greater — its first nonzero digit sits farther left. We record the result with << (less than), >> (greater than), == (equal).
Greater is “farther right” on the coordinate ray

Signs <,>,=<,\,>,\,= for the comparison result
