Multiplying by a decimal

Main rule: 1) multiply the numbers as integers; 2) in the product, place the point so the number of digits after the point equals the sum of the digits after the point in both factors. Example: 2.4×1.52.4\times 1.5. First 24×15=36024\times 15=360. The first factor has 1 digit after the point, the second also 1 — 2 in total. So the answer is 3.60=3.63.60=3.6.
First as integers
Digits after the point in the answer: sum from both factors
Trailing zeros on the right in the fractional part may be dropped (3.60 = 3.6)
