Function graph. Reading graphs

The graph of a function is the set of points (x,y)(x,y) that satisfy the function’s formula. Reading a graph means finding yy from a given xx, and comparing values of the function at different points.
A point on the graph has coordinates (x,f(x))(x,f(x))
You can read function values from the graph
The graph lets you see where the function is greater or smaller
Read the value of y at the marked x.
y = 1.5x + -1
-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1012345678-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-112345678xy
From the graph: at x = 2, y = 2.
