Difference of squares formula: a2b2=(ab)(a+b)a^2-b^2=(a-b)(a+b). It applies only to a difference, not a sum of squares.
The outer terms must be perfect squares
There must be a minus sign between them
The result is a product of conjugate binomials
Factor the difference of squares.
