Function y = k/x (inverse proportionality). Its properties and graph (hyperbola)

The function y=kxy=\frac{k}{x} is called inverse proportion (k0k\neq0). Its graph is a hyperbola. If k>0k>0, the branches lie in quadrants I and III; if k<0k<0, in II and IV.
x=0x=0 is not in the domain
The larger |x|, the closer y is to zero
The sign of k determines where the branches sit
Read values from the graph and change the parameter kk.
y=6x, x=2y=\frac{6}{x},\ x=2
Parameter k:6
xy(2, 3)
y=3y=3
