Pandas basics: Columns and tables
Pandas is built on the idea that data should be organized. A Series is a one-dimensional array where each element has a name (index). A DataFrame is a set of such columns sharing a common index. Think of a DataFrame as an Excel sheet where each column is a Series and rows are records.
