Уравнения sin⁡x=a\sin x=a и cos⁡x=a\cos x=a удобно читать с единичной окружности: ищется пересечение с горизонтальной прямой y=ay=a (в случае синуса) или с вертикальной x=ax=a (в случае косинуса). Если ∣a∣>1|a|>1, решений нет. Если ∣a∣≤1|a|\leq1, можно опереться на arcsin⁡\arcsin и arccos⁡\arccos и затем добавлять периоды.
