**Databases** store and organize application data—from blogs to banking systems. This course introduces the relational model and SQL using PostgreSQL. You will design tables, write SELECT/INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE queries, use JOINs and indexes, and understand transactions and normalization at a practical level. After the course you can work with databases in pet projects, read production schemas, and go deeper into optimization or NoSQL.
